MR is a die-hard meat fan; his heart holds a special place for the flavors of northern parts of Pakistan, where the food is good enough to bring tears of joy in his eyes. Chapal Kebabs, are synonymous to Peshawar for any Pakistani foodie; MR has tried to re-create the goodness that these kebabs are, using easily available ingredients at home.
Ingredients:
- Beef – 500gms (Minced)
- Tomatoes – 2 (Medium)
- Green Chillies – 2 (Medium)
- Fresh Coriander – (1/4 Cup)
- Onion – 1 (Medium)
- Red Chilli flakes – 1 tsp
- Red Chilli Powder – 1 tsp
- Coriander powder – 2 tsps
- Black Pepper Powder – ½ tsp
- Cumin Powder – ½ tsp
- Bread Crumbs – 2 tbsp
- Salt – to taste
- Cooking Oil – For frying
Method:
The Prep
- Chop Tomatoes in small cubes
- Finely chop Green Chllies
- Finely chop fresh Coriander leaves
- Finely chop the Onion
- Mix chopped vegetables in the minced meat
- Add 1 tsp Red Chilli flakes, 2 tsp Coriander powder, ½ tsp Cumin powder, ½ tsp Black Pepper powder, 1 tsp Red Chilli powder, Salt, 1 ½ tbsp Bread crumbs and mix well
- Make patties of the mixture; we make around 6-7 patties of the mixture, but you can size them as per your liking
The Cook
- Add oil in a frying pan/wok for frying on medium-high flame
- Fry the patties until dark brown
